Key Facts - KGPS

• Kinematic GPS data has been collected throughout the UK to provide a means of validating the various LANDMAP image and elevation products.
• KGPS circular transects of the UK from the first Landmap data acquisition campaign (September 1999)
• KGPS linear transects of the UK from the second Landmap data acquisition campaign (May/June 2000)
• The KGPS data provide accurate high-resolution locational data of approximately 6400 km of roads in the Great Britain.
• The data is available in British National Grid or WGS 84 in shape file format and can be imported into a GIS application such as ArcMap.
• The KGPS points has height information attached to each station location.
