Processing - Modern Aerial Photography
The Orthorectification was done using various sources for the DTM.
40% of the Modern Aerial Photography was performed using LiDAR DTM this was a true orthorectification. However no occlusion compensation was performed.
As a guide to which of the Modern Aerial Photography was orthorectified using the LiDAR please refer to the coverage of the LiDAR data available from The Geoinformation Group (TGG) and available through the Landmap Service.
- The rest of the Imagery was rectified using Intermap DTM
- Orthorectification was done to the bottom of the building/canopy
- In all cases GCPs used were either through the use of OS GCP or Inertial Navigation System or both.
- All TGG Imagery, modern Orthophoto products, is fully compatible with OS Mastermap.
- A simplified orthorecification guide is produced by TGG.
