Modern Aerial Photography

This course is a basic course on Aerial Photography using data and software from Cities RevealedTM.

It takes those who have a basic understanding of photography and of digital images through the basics of air photography systems and digital camera systems and products. It also provides an introduction to the systematic interpretation of air photos with a simple procedure for analysis. A short workshop on interpretation concludes the course.

The course should take between one and a half and two hours to complete. It includes several small tests and a workshop.

The software and digital images used in the course are available through the Landmap service. Together with a set of images generated for the exercises and support resources these provide all you need to undertake the course successfully.

Historical Aerial Photography

This course is a basic course on Historical Aerial Photography using data and software from Cities Revealed™.

It takes those who have a basic understanding of photography through the development of air photography systems and products from the mid nineteenth century to the present day. It also provides an introduction to the systematic interpretation of historic air photos with simple exercises. A short workshop on interpretation of historic aerial photogrpahy concludes the course.

The course should take two hours to complete. It includes several small tests and a workshop.
